Benjamin Marauder Pistol Tuning Regulator
Huma-Air pressure regulator for tuning the Benjamin Marauder air pistol or P-rod to the best posible performance.
Huma-Air Marauder Pistol Or P-rod Tuning Regulator.
Boost the shotcount and constancy of your P-rod!
The regulator can be used with the original pressure gauge assembly, keeping the gauge in his place. But it is also possible to remove the pressure gauge and gauge assembly completely and replace it with the regulator body, so you have even more air volume available in the pressure tube.
If you use the pressure gauge, it will display the regulated pressure of your pistol. These regulators are vented to the atmosphere without any modification to your pressure tube needed. So no drilling in the tube and also no creeping up in power.
The benefits of the Huma-Air, Benjamin Marauder Pistol tuning regulator are:
- Higher accuracy of your pistol due to the elimination of the pelletspeed fluctuations
- A constant pellet speed over the full working pressure range.
- Maxiumum use of the air volume due to our ultra compact build.
- It will give you a better shotcount and a full flat shotstring immediately.
- Adding a regulator to your airrifle will probably give you the biggest benefit in the tuning process.
- Often the rifle will make less noise due to better balance in air usage
When you order your Huma-Air, Benjamin Marauder Pistol tuning regulator you will receive:
- Your regulator preset to your own wishes
- A pressure scale in Bar’s on the regulator, for fine-tuning or re-adjustment
- We will include a “Huma-Air regulated” breech sticker
- Fitting instructions as pdf download
Huma-Air Quality Control
Huma Air regulators are CNC produced out of high grade aircraft aluminum and bronze. To guarantee a perfect product, every regulator is individually assembled, tested in a computerized simulation program and adjusted to the requested pressure.
We only use high-end materials and our belleville springs are designed for critical applications to achieve the highest repeat accuracy. This gives our regulators a repeat cycle less than 1% difference.
Huma Air provides a 2-year warranty on their regulators. Excluded from warranty are shipping costs and parts that are subject to normal wear and tear such as o-rings and valve discs.
Pressure settings of the Marauder Pistol Tuning Regulator
The Marauder Pistol Tuning Regulator come in the standart middle pressure range (MP: 70-150 bar output) covering sub 12 ft/lbs and FAC models.
They come preset TO the most common pressure setting, or we will adjust it according to your personal wishes.
It is also equipped with a clear pressure scale label, so it’s very easy to re-adjust or fine tune the pressure setting suitable to your wishes.
We tested 30+ shots @ 19 ft/lbs with our P-rod

Massive performance increase!
By adding the Huma Regulator and drilling the transfer port, it took the P-Rod from 11.5 FPE to 17.5 FPE with 15.89 gr. Hades pellets with 20 consistent shots per fill. I left out the pressure gauge to maximize the fill volume.

Well, it is as it is stated in the description! I like the consistent pellet velocity. I left my gauge in place so when when the pressure starts to drop below the preset I air up again. The quality of the regulator is a 10. Also fast shipping. I’m most pleased and that’s hard for me to say from this crusty old engineer.

I wanted to tune my P-rod to maximize shot count, as I do a lot of pest control on a ranch in the mountains of Colorado that borders a housing development with people who would call their congress-critters if we went blasting away with conventional firearms. Before installation, the P-rod would give me 48 shots of useable accuracy/precision with the Crosman Piranha 14.3gr pellets, and that included a lot of variance in point of impact vs point of aim through the pressure curve. Fortunately, we’re exterminating a lot of invasive pests at extremely close range, including European Starlings inside chicken coops, ground squirrels who keep their heads up out of holes if I walk up nice and slow, and Eurasian Collared Doves in those same chicken coops.
Installation was very easy and straightforward with Huma’s instructions from the website, and anyone used to using hex wrenches and a crescent wrench will be able to accomplish good results. I left the reg set at 120 BAR and then turned down the hammer spring tension to only 1/2 turn above minimum for a muzzle muzzle velocity of 565 FPS. The slower you shoot, the better your consistency will be, as the reg takes a few seconds to vent. Results were incredibly consistent, and now I get 64 useable shots out of a fill with the gun falling off the reg somewhere around 50 shots.
The only thing more impressive than the performance of the reg and the ease of installation was the shipping to the US. It arrived in about a week, I believe. Keep up the good work, Huma.

huma regulators are the best, every airgun should have one. I put this in my benjamin woods walker and have it tuned to 660fps with jsb hades .22 and get 32 shots before I refill. awesome products and very easy to install. thanks huma!! jaret

Ordered mine a few day’s ago, with a preset of 150B, re-adjusted it to 135B and have a continues shot string of 220 m/s wit an ES of 1.5 m/s with an average of 28.3 J.. Very good tune.. gained 7 J!! and still have to break-in the reg… WOW..
Thanks Huma!!!

Installed one in my 1720t and one in my 1701p. Both installed easily and after a short break in both are giving very consistent results.

Very easy to install in my 1720t.
After a run in it is now very consistent with 5 FPS spread over a 20 shot string.
I can now use the full volume of the tank with full precision.
Highly recommend!

P-rod in 22 cal unregulated was giving 32 shots 590 -610 fps (2500-1500psi) 3000-2500 psi was unuseable due to low velocity at 3000, and climbing velocity over a span of 50fps in 1st 8 shots, I. E. First shot at 3000psi would be 585fps. This restricted the gun down to just 32 shots.
Now with Huma regulator (with manometer remaining in gun) 40 shots 600-610 fps (3500-1500 psi) with regulator set to 90 Bar. Big improvement!

Things arrived quickly and securely, setting pressure was easy, install was simple!
My goal was about 50 shots or so at 10 FPE w/ 20FPS extreme spread –
utilizing a stock gun, valve, hammer, etc.
From prior tuning, it was known that 110 bar (~1600 psi) would net me 9.5 fpe peak energy (14.3 gr. pellet)
I figured, with the 15.9 gr. JSBs that were most accurate in my gun, I would be well into 10 FPE territory.
Here are my settings and results:
Gauge Block Removed
Hammer: Stock Weight Valve: Stock Config. Transfer Port: Stock (.080″)
Fill Pressure: 3000 PSI (206.8 Bar) Regulator Setpoint: 1600 PSI (110 Bar)
Shot String End Pressure: 1350 PSI (93 Bar) Pellet: CPHP 14.3 grain (from tin)
Hammer Spring Tension (From full CCW): 0 Turns
Hammer Throw Length (From full CCW): 4 Turns
# Shots: 49 Avg. Velocity: 543 FPS Extreme Spread: 20 FPS Avg. FPE: 9.36
Efficiency: 12.4 Bar-cc/FPE
For a 50cc airtube (-10cc for plenum, and -5cc for regulator) and factory valve components, I consider this to be pretty great! Maybe later I’ll experiment with higher FPE and modified valving components, but for now, time to shoot/enjoy it!
One more thing: I assume that the extreme spread will tighten up a bit as the reg wears in. This was literally the first string after installation!

Very quick delivery..
I placed the regulator just how i was told to do
At least 24 (3 mags) shots very concistently 210 m/s
-208 m/sWith predators 16 grain.

Works great, but a step by step instructions would have been even better.
But now I know what is involved and what to do.

Regulator was easy to install using option B. Tuned to 150 BAR with .028 port. I am satisfied with my shot count, velocities and power . By the way, that pesky air leak from the gauge stopped!

This reg works great in my 1720T. I have turned it down to 90 bar with a .114
tranfer port for shooting 8.4 JSB’s at 750FPS.
I now have 5 Huma regs.
